13 października w Galerii Bunkier Sztuki Sara Flindt i Szymon Wójcik zaprezentują swój najnowszy wspólny album „when you rub your eyes, you see things you can’t describe”, który został wydany nakładem Sawyer Editions 16 stycznia 2026 roku.

„when you rub your eyes, you see things you can’t describe” to album polskiego kompozytora Szymona Wójcika, mieszkającego i tworzącego w Kolonii, powstały we ścisłej współpracy z duńską wokalistką i kompozytorką Sarą Flindt. Ich muzyka wyrasta z eksploracji liminalnych obszarów harmonii, podważając konwencje językowe i przekraczając granice gatunkowe. Wykorzystując naturalne systemy strojenia (just intonation) jako strukturalny punkt odniesienia, duet tworzy światy dźwiękowe łączące współczesną kompozycję z ekspresyjnym językiem muzyki pop z jej bardziej eksperymentalnych obrzeży.

Sara Flindt welcomes you to the other side of the Gutenberg parenthesis. She’s been waiting there for you ever since she first understood what you didn’t mean. Her artistic practice is because it’s imperfect. Her sound is best described as mutable. Someof it is made of songs. Some of it is already gone. She performs live, sometimes digitally and other times with her fingers, and also at www.saraflindt.com, [a virtual world] which in turn performs living. But that’s neither hear nor the air: [either way,] the goal is to make the textual textural, or altogether oral. Her improvised work is a dialogue with the present, which echoes the past, unless it’s the other way around: dyslexia makes a girl suspicious of structure. And without fixed grammatical rules, how can anything break the bond between us? Without the weight of the words on her shoulder, this is expressed through her solo project as well as the duo slóra (IS/DK), and a collaborative project with Polish composer Szymon Wójcik. Recent releases include the albums when you rub your eyes, you see things you can't describe and tearstobealone (slóra). In August 2026, she released an EP in collaboration with author Cecilie Lind, who has made a remix of Sara’s lyrical fragments. 

Szymon Wójcik - polski kompozytor, gitarzysta i improwizator, obecnie mieszkający w Kolonii. W swojej praktyce zgłębia pogranicza harmonii wykraczające poza tradycyjną zachodnią dychotomię dur-moll, a także wykorzystuje zjawiska psychoakustyczne oraz subtelne niuanse stroju i intonacji. W swoich pracach łączy dźwięki syntetyczne z instrumentami akustycznymi, tworząc kompozycje na zespoły instrumentalne, utwory elektroakustyczne i instalacje dźwiękowe. Jego utwory wykonywał m.in. Ensemble Musikfabrik. Jego najnowszy album, when you rub your eyes, you see things you can't describe, ukazał się w styczniu 2026 roku nakładem Sawyer Editions.
