Indian instruments, mantras, electronic sounds and pulsating rhythms. Surtarang, joined by special guest Karthik Krishna from India, is coming to Wyjście Awaryjne in Opole!

Surtarang is a folktronica band from Poznań blending Indian mantras, hypnotic sitar melodies, tabla and darbuka rhythms, and atmospheric vocals with electronics inspired by psytrance and dub. Their music moves between meditative soundscapes and powerful, dance-driven trance.

Since 2018, the band has performed nearly 200 concerts in Poland and abroad, including India, where they collaborate with local musicians. One of them is Karthik Krishna, a tabla virtuoso from Bengaluru who is coming to Poland at the invitation of Mantra Sound and Surtarang. An A-grade artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan, he specializes in Indian classical music. During the concert, Karthik will join Surtarang, enriching their acoustic-electronic sound with the richness of Indian rhythms and improvisation.
