Welcome to the Birthday Ball by Mothers Dana & Polish Trailblazer Bożna Elle!!! ![]()
We are inviting you to the very special event - celebration of ballroom culture, but also the birthday party of Polish Mothers of International House of Elle!
We know you’ve been waiting for this ball - and trust us, so have we.
Tonight, we honor the roots of ballroom culture, created through the brilliance, resilience, and resistance of Black and Latinx trans women and queer people who built spaces where self-expression became survival, pride, community, and power.
Hosted by Polish Trailblazer Mother Bożna Elle and Mother Dana, this evening is about fantasy, connection, joy, and the freedom to become whoever we want to be.
So let’s shine.
Let’s connect.
Let’s celebrate.
And don't forget... let's make a WISH!

(not in this order!)
European Runway (MF, FF, GNC + Overall) – Wrapping like present
Tonight you are our gift! Walk the runway wrapped, folded and tied like the ultimate birthday present. Serve creativity, surprise and high fashion.Think ribbons, bows, tapes, glossy paper, luxury packaging, geometrical and silhouettes. Whether perfectly polished or beautifully chaotic, make us feel like we’re unwrapping something unforgettable! Be creative
All-American Runway OTA – Balloons
For this category, balloons are your inspiration. From twisted latex sculptures to inflated couture, floating silhouettes, glossy textures, oversized proportions, and playful drama - bring the spirit of celebration in couture. You can use balloons, or become one.
Baby Runway OTA – My Super Sweet 16
Imagine, you are 16 and you're gonna celebrate your birthday in the most lavish and over-the-top way. Step onto the runway like the main star of My Super Sweet 16 TV Show. We wanna see fashion from 2005 - 2016. Think: Y2K, youthful, sweet, glitter, diamonds. Colors: white, pink, gold - just like the iconic intro of the show. And don't forget about a tiara or a crown, it’s your birthday moment, baby - and all eyes are on you.
!Tiara or crown is mandatory.
Baby Vogue OTA – Birthday fantasy
Birthday hats, ribbons, party blowers, confetti, glitter - tonight is time to make fun & PARTY. Outfits should be sweet, bouncy, colorful like baby-doll dresses, cropped tops, fluffy skirts. Bring us a playful birthday lewk with birthday items of your choice. Your fit should still allow you to perform, cuz wanna see THE FIVE elements!
Bizarre OTA – Birthday Cake
This is not just a cake - she's got a point, she's an icon, she's a legend and she is the moment.. OF CELEBRATION we will never forget! Become the imaginary birthday cake of your dreams. Think impossible proportions, layered fantasy, icing-like textures, sugar-glass shine, and exaggerated decoration taken to excess. Everything should feel indulgent, surreal, and slightly unhinged - like a cake designed in a dream where everything is possible.
Best Drag Look – Money
Think currency as couture: shimmering coins, printed bills, metallic shine, and luxury taken to extremes. Whether you’re inspired by old-world riches, modern billionaire energy, or chaotic “new money” sparkle - your look should feel expensive. We wanna see confidence, attitude and O.P.U.L.E.N.C.E!
Face (Women’s, FQ, MF, GNC, Drag) – Sequins
Face beat to absolute perfection and birthday glamour pushed into full sparkle ecstasy. Serve us your beautiful face wearing a full sequin look. You can be inspired by the 70s or contemporary fashion, but the important thing is that the sequins are the main part of the styling. Spark like the star of the party – because tonight, you are the celebration.
Old Way OTA – Mime
Old Way is about precision, style, grace and storytelling - and what better storyteller than a mime? Enter the floor where every gesture is controlled, every line intentional, and every pose perfectly hit to the music. Serve classic mime references: black and red accents, white gloves, and stripes. And take us back to the legendary way!
Mandatory: white gloves for your 10’s.
New Way OTA — Acrobat with a Prop
Inspired by acrobats, contortionists, and circus-level flexibility, bring us extended shapes, unexpected angles, and transitions that feel almost inhuman. We wanna see elastic bodysuits with circus references. Go either full candy chaos (bright, clashing, hyper-saturated) or hyper-clean one color, sculptural outfit with a birthday twist. Don’t forget about acrobatic or circus props that enhance your performance, for example: balls, clubs, ribbons, gymnastic rings, or anything else that you fancy.
!The prop is mandatory for the 10’s.
Hands Performance vs Arms Control OTA — Clown vs Illusionist ![]()
Clown for Hands Performance
Illusionist for Arms Control
One of you brings exaggerated joy, energy, humor, and unpredictability: bright colors, polka dots, stripes and special make up with an infamous red nose. The other is sleek, elegant, controlled, mysterious: gloves, suits, capes, sharp lines, hidden tricks, clean aesthetics. Will you make us laugh, or will you make us question reality? Either way make it hot and keep us completely under your spell.
Performance (Women’s, FQ, Drags, BQ, GNC + Overall) — Barbie / Ken / Favorite Toy
We grew up playing with Barbies, Kens and our favorite plushies. Tonight we’re travelling back in time! Think Barbie/Ken fashion, and teddy bear material. Get inspired by plastic shine, vinyl, latex, molded silhouettes, stitched plush textures, faux fur, padding, and of course beautiful colors.
Realness with a Twist - Bartender/Policeman/Security
Every party with a bar requires a bartender - you are here to serve delicious drinks, and make sure nobody is thirsty. Maybe… you are the policeman who was ordered to jump outside the cake & turn the heat up? Or you are the security who makes sure nobody crashes the party!
Choose between those three characters & give us the TWIST!
Fashion Killa OTA — Birthday Decorations
Tonight, it’s all about you decorating YOURSELF. We want a full birthday scenography turned into a look: balloons, candles integrated into silhouette, confetti embedded in fabric, banners worn as garments. Think Moschino-level camp, Jeremy Scott exaggeration, Margiela deconstruction, Thierry Mugler archive drama, Balenciaga volume, Comme des Garçons sculptural chaos.
Body (FF, GNC, MF) — Birthday Trip (Swimwear)
Birthday getaway, body on display. Bring us swimwear that serves body, confidence, and vacation fantasy. Think beach birthday, poolside celebration, tropical heat, yacht energy. Swimwear required but make it styled: accessories like sunglasses, bags, towels, flip flops elevated to fashion. Serve body like it’s your gift to the world.
Sex Siren (FF, GNC, MF) — Chocolate & Flowers
Forget generic romance, this is birthday seduction. Bring a sensual fantasy that plays with indulgence and desire. Think: ribbons wrapped around the body, bows placed strategically, satin, latex, mesh, glossy textures. And one more thing: for your 10s, we want to RECEIVE the bouquet and/or the box of chocolates. Yummmm.
Realness (FQ, BQ, Transman) — Birthday Picnic
You’re going to your bestie’s birthday picnic. The invite is cute, the weather is perfect, and you already know, you have to look right. So the question is: What are you bringing with you? A basket? A homemade cake? Drinks? A blanket? A gift? Maybe just yourself but styled to perfection. Serve picnic realness with intention: soft summer looks, coordinated sets, denim, light fabrics, sunglasses, casual but polished energy. It’s your bestie’s birthday…but you still look FAB at the function.
Commentator vs Commentator OTA — Birthday Card
It’s time to write your wishes… and make them super cunty. For your 10s, we want to HEAR your chant written on a birthday card. Bring a physical card and read your wishes out loud - acapella. Start like a real birthday message: “Happy birthday…” and then twist it and end however you want. Turn those wishes into an ovah, unforgettable chant. Something the crowd will remember long after the ball.
Best Nails OTA — Birthday Fantasy
From miniature cakes to candles, balloons, confetti, bows, numbers, rhinestones, and charms - your nails should look like a full birthday scene. 3D elements, exaggerated, intricate, or hyper-glossy, this is your chance to go all the way in. Let each nail tell a birthday story. We cunt wait!
Best Makeup OTA — Kids Face Paint
Take kids’ face paint and elevate it to a full glam. References: butterflies, animals, whatever your birthday inspiration is but reworked, sharper, bold, high fashion. Think: overdrawn shapes, rhinestones, glitter, asymmetry, realism. bold colors.
Spectators Dance Off - Any Dance Style
It’s a birthday party, and when this category is open, the floor is yours. No longer on the sidelines, dance your heart out on the stage (but no voguing). Bring your personality, rhythm, energy and make everyone GAG!

What is a ballroom?
Ballroom culture was created by African-American and Latinx LGBTQ+ communities in the 70' in New York City. It comes from the culture of Drag Queens, who used to meet at underground balls in Harlem where they competed with each other in many performative and dance categories. Since then, balls have become an inclusive and safe space for free expression for queer youth of color. In addition to many categories related to performance and dance (Voguing), the ballroom is characterized by the creation of alternative family models such as House, vocabulary, music, or its own social hierarchies such as Icons, Legends, Statements, and Stars.
Ballroom Culture is a safe(r) space that prioritizes QTIBIPOC. Please be mindful and respectful of who the space is for. Before stepping out on the runway, please get to know the ballroom history and the rules of a given category. If you have any questions please contact us here: balubozeny@gmail.com
And remember!
